Encouraging the rational and effective use of innovative technologies
“The aim of the 2022 edition is to invite the public to live well digitally, taking full advantage of what digital technology has to offer for their well-being while ensuring social bonds, protecting their environment, their fellow human beings and above all to protecting tomorrow. This protection is to make the most of technology digital by anticipating a promising future for future generations.
The African Web Festival is a platform that brings together players from the digital ecosystem and innovation around business, entrepreneurship and creativity, in order to build a connected Africa around the values of sharing and mentoring youth and women. This edition will be provided with conferences, seminars, workshops and exhibitions and will therefore be centered around: Safety, Environment and People.
The festival responds to the challenge of the emergence of information and communication technology and its adaptation to African values, promotes job creation and encourages encounters between young people from Africa and elsewhere for cultural mixing and exchange of experiences.
The Africa Web Festival aims to be a place for in-depth reflection on the challenges of using digital technology in Africa’s development. These implications relate to the continent’s youth, women’s empowerment, dismantling countries, strengthening the digital innovation ecosystem on a continental scale, urbanization, climate change, etc.
The ultimate goal of the festival is to consolidate peace by combating poverty, by facilitating training and by facilitating the population’s access to better technologies adapted to social and economic realities.
